Who is Zoe?

My name is Zoe Carter, and I am a children's worker in Edinburgh, which is the capital city of Scotland in the United Kingdom. I have an undergraduate degree in sculpture, and a post graduate diploma in teaching, and a HNC in early education and childcare but the best training I have had has been learning on the job.
Children's ministry is the last thing I thought I would be doing. I didn't even get on with children when I was a child, so as you can imagine, it was a rather steep learning curve to become a children's worker when I was an adult. But now I like it, which is rather helpful.
My aim is to create fun craft activities, to help children to learn through doing (the technical term for this is 'kinaesthetic' learning). I am working towards writing resources for children that cover the whole Bible, not just the well known bits. I also write puppet shows, teaching materials and holiday clubs, and make props and puppets out of recycled materials. I am going to put all of this up on the site in due course. This site is an offshoot from the 'Not-your-average Bible craft book.'
